Écu is a defensive item. Shield should be turned towards the attacking unit to take effect. Has its own durability and can be destroyed. Does not protect against splash damage (e.g. from rockets).
The shield can be installed both on light and medium hardpoints. Attention! Upon purchasing Ecu, it fits one particular slot-type you're purchasing it for. To equip Écu to the other side you will need to get an extra one.
