CYBER-WARRIOR |
KAJI: NEW ROBOT BUILD
Kaji is a nimble but fragile trickster of a robot that introduces two entirely new mechanics, both packed into a single ability. It can turn completely invisible, hiding from sight and disappearing from enemy targeting systems. However, it remains vulnerable to damage and becomes visible to any enemy within 150 meters, allowing them to target it directly. While invisible, Kaji gains a significant movement speed boost and disables its weapons. Pressing the ability button a second time does something no robot has ever done before: laying mines. These explosives stick to horizontal surfaces, can be stacked up to a limit, and activate when an enemy passes nearby. The mine then launches at the target and explodes, applying DEATHMARK and SLOWDOWN. Kaji isn’t suited to close-quarters combat. It excels at evasive tactics and hit-and-run strikes. The Boom, Bash, and Pow missile launchers are perfect tools for sowing destruction across the battlefield without even looking at the enemy directly. They fire in a straight line, then arc upward and home in on enemies. For maximum effect, wait until a mine triggers — these weapons gain a bonus against targets affected by DEATHMARK. Kevin O’Reilly and Kocho are ideal for a Kaji build. Kevin adds an EMP effect to your mines, making sure those pesky phaseshifters can’t escape your rocket barrage. Kocho boosts movement speed, increases damage when DEATHMARK is applied, and provides protection against affected enemies. Vanish and reappear where least expected. Trap chokepoints, bait enemies into mines, and strike from a safe distance — the tactical possibilities with Kaji are endless. Just don’t get caught too close.
KAJI
Watch your step.
MINING: Kaji gains the INVISIBILITY effect, becoming undetectable to both enemy sensors and visual tracking at distances greater than 150 meters. While invisible, Kaji can deploy mines. Upon activation, the mines apply DEATHMARK and SLOWDOWN, then begin to pursue the target. Upon contact, they deal area damage and reapply DEATHMARK and SLOWDOWN. When Kaji is destroyed, all of its mines destroy themselves.
Max number of mines: 10.
Mine detection range: 200 m.
DEATHMARK effect strength: 5%.

VIRTUAL DEAD CITY
Modeled by Kevin O'Reilly when he still was a junior software engineer in Icarus, virtual Dead City was used as a training grounds for Pilots to test their skills. Since then it was replaced by other maps and lost to time... until few Commanders made strange reports on how their recent Dead City forays were a little "glitchy". Perhaps, you'll encounter something similar during the course of 11.4 event?
