Finally, drones made it to the live server! You experiment and discover wild builds that we couldn't even think of. At the same time, many of you have burning questions. We've selected the most popular ones to answer.
Let's go!
Q&A
1. What's the difference between microchip types?
Microchips are divided into types to highlight the difference between their tasks.
- Type A chips serve for applying status effects like freeze and other effects that cannot be attributed to any other microchip type.
- Type B chips increase the attacking potential of your robot (mainly its weapon damage).
- Type C on the other hand boosts robots survivability (durability and resistance).
- Type D is all about repair and other support effects that we'll add in the future.
- Type AC – meaning Arms Controller — allows your drone to shoot.
2. Why dividing microchips into types?
Because that's how drones receive their specialization. A drone with multiple type C slots, for example, will be a good defender.
And there's one more reason – microchip types make it easier to navigate the drones interface and build drones. If you want to deal more damage, then you will be looking for type B first.
3. How do I know if a drone can shoot on its own? Is there a list?
For now there are only 4 drones that can shoot on their own: Sharpshooter, Good Guy, The Eye and Wasp.
If a drone has an AC slot, then it can shoot. The AC slot is always positioned in the upper left corner and it has a bright orange icon.
4. Does robot's built-in weapon and abilities apply drone effects?
Yep.
5. Is there any correlation between the type of the drone and the type of its microchip slots?
Microchip slots are randomized each time you purchase a new drone. There are no regular patterns except for the AC slots which are always available on shooter drones.
6. What defines the type of a microchip that you create by merging? Does the type of the drone affect the type of merged microchips?
When you combine microchips you always receive a microchip of the same type as those used for combination. It will be one tier higher of course. However, the effect of that microchip will be randomized. It doesn't depend on anything.
7. What microchips are available in the game?
We've compiled a list of all available chips. The link is in the description.
We'll add more in the future.
8. How similar effects from weapons and drones stack up together? For example, freeze from a microchip and freeze from Cryo weapon.
Percentages from weapons and drones simply add together. If you want your Cryo weapons to freeze enemies faster, reinforce them with a freeze microchip. It's a viable option by all means.
9. Does the "while the robot is immune" effect work with Anticontrol?
Absolutely!
10. Does the Phasing Repairer effect work with Ravana ability?
No. Transcendence and Phase Shift are named differently. That means they are two different effects.
11. There is a microchip that increases damage dealt when the robot is immune to Freeze effect. How do I receive immunity to freeze?
Robots become temporarily immune to Freeze when the active Freeze effect expires.
12. How effect accumulation works? What does the accumulation percentage mean and what is it added to? Is there a limit?
All effects from microchips add together. But different weapons accumulate special effects at a different pace. So, the same microchips may affect different weapons differently.
There's no limit to accumulation bonus — the only thing you need to consider is the capacity of your drone. It's the drone power capacity that prevents you from building insane accumulation bonuses.
13. How do I delete a drone?
First, move the drone to the inventory. From the inventory window, you can tap on the trash bin icon in the lower right corner to delete the drone.
14. Drones are way too expensive!
Drones are all about customizing your strategy and play style. They are here to stay and there's no need to rush for the best builds at once. Even the basic Starter drone can be very helpful in the fight. We recommend starting with cheap builds that are available from the start.
In future, there will be more ways to get drones and microchips. For example, we plan on adding them to event chests.
15. I don't want to read through all the microchip descriptions. Where can I find complete builds?
Watch guides on YouTube!
And we plan on publishing ready microchip builds from time to time — either as recommendations or offers. Subscribe to our Facebook page or join our Discord to stay tuned!
